Season 23, Week 2
Fenril
(Ogre Battle: March of the Black Queen)

Organa’s resident female dragoon goddess enters the arena for the first time, ready to honor the dragoon name. She, along with her legendary sword Brunhild, will tear up all who stand in her path. Her first opponent is Kika, the pirate of Suikoden IV fame. Two swordsladies, fighting to the death in the heat of battle… isn’t it great? Kika is known for her massive attack power with the Falcon Rune, but Fenril has no problem with that! Her absurd physical defense will eliminate any threat that Kika might pose, and will give Lady Fenril an easy path to the next round.

Her slim outline can be seen on the pirate ship that travels many worlds. Kika is a figure well-known, from the watery provinces of the Island Nations to many other maritime areas. Being a legendary pirate leader does that; being an awesome warrior with a Falcon Rune and superb slices is icing on the cake. She'll need that icing today, however, as she faces the Dragoon Fenril. A minor Goddess from the Sky Islands, her resistance to physical abuse is notable. But this isn't a problem: the Falcon Rune can dish out more than enough damage to breach that defense. So it comes down to a race of sword against sword - will Brunhild outslash Righarard?

The fun thing about Ogre Battle Dragoons isn't the high HP, or the physicals that make even the mightiest of fighters quake in their boots. No, it's the defenses. Breaking Fenril's defense usually requires enough offense to pulverize stone, let alone actually defeating her.

To her credit, Kika hits hard enough to crack the defense. She's also dead long before Fenril's in danger of running out of life.
