In the duelling Arena, anything can happen. Friends can become enemies and lovers can become heated rivals. The incredibly cute and long-standing couple of Ryu and Nina is the latest pair to fall victim to the raging passion of the Arena floor. Ryu’s girlfriend has outdone him in the Arena in most every way by not only winning a championship (like half of the other Ninas…), but getting more wins in Heavy than he's managed. This has got to change or else his manly pride will be injured! And the best way to get success? Dragons! While usually those dragons are saved to protect the pretty princess Nina, this time they will be her downfall, as she has no way to overwhelm the masterful fighter once he transforms. However, Ryu does hope that Nina doesn't hold a grudge against him for this... |

Such a long absence, yet such a triumphant return! The very first winged princess of the Breath of Fire series is back to the Heavy arena, and she's taking no prisoners this time! Even if this means defeating her very lover - and guess who is her first opponent this season. Yes, Nina is fighting the first Ryu, which should be a fine opportunity to prove who truly wears the pants in the house! With borderline infinite healing and buffs to keep herself alive and burning Ryu's resources, alongside Idle to screw Ryu's accuracy/speed and Hold whenever he is untransformed to keep him tight in his place, the princess is sure to slowly, but very surely, win this fight! You might even call this a lovers' quarrel, but it's nothing that cruel. Why, Nina won't even throw Deis' advances to her husband in his face - wait. |
Namagomi "I come home from work, and all I do is cook! Cook, and clean up after you!" an irate winged princess yelled. "Hey, at least -I- pick a channel. For Ladon's sake, I have to sit there for eight minutes while you channel-surf whenever you get the remote!" a normally-silent blue-haired main retorted... "Whenever I get it?! When was the LAST time I actually got the remote?! You lay on the couch as if you were its king! King Ryu of the couch!" "Well, I did marry you, and you're a princess, so technically..." "Shut up, just SHUT UP, RYU!!!" "...so, what's happening now? I'm confused as to what's going on here. I thought there was supposed to be a duel," Hrist annoyedly commented from the judges' stands. "Apparently, Nate thought it would be more profitable for something from Behind the Scenes to come into the Arena proper, and marital disputes bring lots of publicity," replied Augst. "According to him, the loser would be the one who either left the ring, died, or brought up the other's performance...spanking or no..." Responding to the scientist's attempt at joke and chuckle was a simple "Awroo!" (Of all the idiocy I am supposed to put up with, THIS has to be some of the worst. How do I keep getting caught up in this? And would that man please stop telling his stupid jokes?!) from Blanca, and a sigh from Hrist. "...and to think, I got out of Light for this...between this and Lezard asking me for Lenneth's number..." the elder Valkyrie grumbled. Meanwhile, the heated..."battle"...continued on in the Arena... "--And don't think I'll EVER forget the time you thought our egg was going to be used to make your breakfast!" Nina shouted "I didn't even know you people LAID eggs..." "Awroo-!" (...I did NOT need to know that!) "Ugh...I'm almost wishing for Lezard to harass me again..." Augst only chuckled as the fight escalated... "--I should've known it'd come to this! Ever since we got married, you were always sneaking looks at other girls! Am I not good enough?!" "Oh, don't you START with this! You KNOW I've been faithful!" "That's it! I'm leaving! Jet likely has a bigger--" "Deis was so much better in--" "..." "..." All was silent, until Augst spoke... "My, looks like there may need to be mutual spankings." Hrist groaned, and Blanca did what would pass for a wolf groaning... "But, hmm...who did start theirs first?" Henriksen asked. "Awroo! Awroo!" Blanca leapt up onto the desk, pointing his nose at...one of the two. It was hard to tell from this angle, though... "Who do you think he's suggesting is the naughty one," Augst added, with a chuckle. "...I don't talk to wolves, you know." Hrist annoyedly commented as the couple stormed out of the ring simultaneously. -------------------------------- The following breakup was a legend in and of itself. The original Breath of Fire couple filed for divorce--the court processing for which went through quickly, thanks to both parties desiring such. Nina got custody of the egg--particularly due to her initially claiming it and nobody wanting to argue the semantics of the issue. After the event, Ryu reportedly went off with Deis, and Jet found himself accosted more recently by Nina-1. Repeatedly. Currently, he is particularly confused with the issue. All the Ryu x Nina fanboys fell into depression, a number of whom killed themselves either by hanging or slitting. Some failed to cut the right way, and were rushed to the infirmary. Likewise, the Ryu x Deis shippers had a massive frat party. Don't ask why it's a frat party, because nobody truly knew the answer to that question. Albedo reportedly pulled off his head numerous times, but since he does so several times a day anyway, nobody really cared. Hrist was immediately harassed by Lezard after the match was declared over. He was promptly beaten down in annoyance. Augst was smacked for his jokes. Finally. It wasn't nearly enough, though. As for Blanca, he ultimately decided the winner of the match after five minutes of pointing and mauling the other judges. Wait, you want to know who he said won? "Awroo! Awroo!" (Finally, it's over!
