Arc’s fate at the end of his own game may make him sympathize with Selan, it must be admitted, but he’s sure to pull no punches to win this match. After all, not only has he fallen from Godlike while Elc has had great success there, much to Arc's own frustration, but Elc has even already beat Selan! Arc will prove himself the better hero and the better fighter. Selan may have lots of healing and the ability to regenerate MP with an IP, but Arc’s Brave Crest lets him regenerate MP just by breathing. With Invincible to protect him from both Selan’s damage and status, and Weak Enemy to both slow Selan and make his already solid strikes body shattering, Arc will surely be able to pull out a victory in the end and advance forward. Arc will not rest until he can again match his fellow hero in the arena.

Magical wife Se- *SMACK!* Okay, so the lovely Selan doesn't care for that title. It doesn't matter; Maxim's heroic soulmate is a match for anyone in bravery or combat skills, even someone as legendary as Arc. She's going to beat Arc at his own game by outlasting him. While Arc may be able to stop her Drowsy spell, what about confusion from her Song Rock? The silence from her Fury Ring? Any of those spell death for Arc. Even worse, Selan's myriad of defensive IPs give her all the time in the world to wreck Arc. Between raising defense and infinite free healing, Selan has nothing to fear from a resource war. Arc's only chance of victory lies in killing Selan in a blow, and with her toughness- she's no Tia or Lufia, to be overkilled by a single strong attack- the chances of that happening are nil.

For all that people joked that the man couldn't buy a win if he had Ramus's money, it isn't as if Arc Eda Ricolne had been jobbing to a bunch of chumps. Just look at his record: Myria, Jade, Yuna, Melfice, Rika...Arc had lost to some of the best in the business. And now Selan would join the ranks of those notable fighters. Yes indeed, Selan's career is certainly looking up, as getting a win over Arc is definitely a mark of truely Godlike power...
Wait, what? Selan didn't win? You're sure about that?
Ummm, okay. Scratch that, looks like Arc just picked up his first win. Sorry folks, I don't have anything prepared for this outcome. I'm just as surprised as you are, really.
Arc Eda Ricolne: 30
Selan: 22
