Eirika's biggest challenge this season has been subdued, and, although she's not all too proud of defeating a fellow agent of good, the princess of Renais must go on. This time, against the monstrous evil Jenova, Eirika is right at home: with the mighty Sieglinde hitting a weakness against the foul alien, she will quickly subdue the threat looming over the Duelling League. And, while Jenova can choose between tricks and overwhelming offense, it can't very well deal with Eirika's brilliant evasion and her counters, which will stop short any attempt at quick victory the alien tries to mount. In this long slog, Eirika has a guaranteed shot at a Heavy belt coming shortly, and a mythical being of destruction won't stop her - not any better than Fomortiis ever could.

Calamity from the skies, a power from a distant land...those are the stories that live on in legend. Few can look upon the mighty face of Jenova and not cringe with terror. Fewer still survive. Granted, Eirika’s limited mental reasoning but make her immune to such fright, but Jenova will surely school it into her anyways. After all, Jenova has a cornucopia of forms she can use to deal with such a frivolous creature. Jenova Life, with her blistering speed to kill doubles and get the first attack, can drown Eirika in Aqualung. Jenova Death, again with blistering speed, can use magic and great durability to wear Eirika down. And of course, Jenova may be an alien, but a monster? With that humanoid face and busty frame? Much more an alien pin-up than a monster.
Joou Ranbu "So. What are the conclusions we can draw from the experiment?"
Brey scribbled down his notes leisurely, not even stopping to glance up at Lexis. The scientist himself just stared at the dwarfish sorcerer, as if the chaos creeping out behind them was nothing more than a nuisance... well, probably that was it. After all, adding pheromone-laden tentacles to Jenova for science is pretty much a weekly event by this point in the Duelling League's life. Of course, things happen a bit differently when a drugged-up on aphrodisiacs and tentacle growth medicine Jenova is tacked into a match with a swordgirl princess.
"Eh? You said something, Lexis? I was just jotting down the fascinating effects that Eirika's Sacred Twin has against hormonal outrage", Brey merrily chided.
"Erm", Lexis coughed. "You'd expect anything else from Jenova as those tentacles are getting chopped into tiny pieces? That's not scientifical experimentation as much as natural action-reaction. However, I do find Eirika's sudden murderous glee an interesting psychological defense..."
As he finished the sentence, Lexis and Brey looked at the arena fight. Eirika maniacally laughed as she tore through the tentacles and ripe alien body, Jenova whimpering incomprehensibly. By that point, Luca Blight, who was reffing the match, joined in the alien slaughter, and random audience members began launching flammable Rogers into Jenova.
Lexis glanced back at Brey. "I wonder if people will ever figure out that science has nothing to do with these experiments. Do you think...?"
Brey stifled out a laugh. "They probably did a couple years back. They just don't care. I mean, why would you?"
Lexis shrugged. "I guess. Anyhow, I'm gonna grab more flammables from my lab. You let the explosive foam handy and the Creamonade calibrated, right?"
"Yeah, go ahead. I'm just finishing down the notes", Brey distractedly nodded.
In retrospect, that was all pretty typical. And so, the Duelling League moves on.
