Flame Champion Hugo of the Karaya clan returns to wreck the Heavy division, and his first opponent is basically a slower, weaker, less evasive version of himself. Mario may be an Olympic athlete, but Hugo is easily in better physical shape than the paunchy plumber. Even Mario's dreaded fire magic pales in comparison to the might of the True Fire Rune that Hugo bears on his arm. The young Karayan hero probably has this match all sewn up without any forseeable issue, unless it somehow comes down to a competition of who can jump the highest. Granted, maybe Fubar can help him if it comes to that...

The hailed savior of the Mushroom Kingdom is back for another run in the Heavy Division, and this time it looks like a cakewalk. With the power of rapid fireballs and and the ability to jump on foes heads and stomp them into oblivion, how is it possible to lose? Hugo may have the power of the True Fire Rune to his name, be next in line to lead the Karayan people to prosperity, and have an edge in speed and evasion, but words like speed and evasion don't mean anything if Mario's size 13 boots are embedded in Hugo's skull over and over again. Like they say, it's hard to argue with a boot to the face.
