Season 50, Week 3
Hugo
(Suikoden III)

Lang's mastery of his Origin is truly impressive, but his fiery spirit is no match for the True Fire Rune and Hugo's matching Wind Rune. Lang has to block both of Hugo's deadly status attacks -and- deal with Hugo's brutal physical strikes and devastating attack magic. Oh, with all of that defensive fighting, Lang has to find some time to damage Hugo as well, who boasts top tier evasion and is far faster to boot. Lang's juggling act will buy him a little time, but against Hugo's sheer variety in strategies and effective healing, stalling until certain defeat is all he can do.

The Origin of Fire and the heart of the True Fire Rune, meeting in the battlefield, quite a sight indeed! These fiery heroes are the very definition of a burning spirit, so it’s only fitting that they finally get to face each other in the arena. Of course, of the two, only Lang has fire protection, as well as the ability to pick up sleep or ID protection to neuter Hugo’s Wind spells. Mix in Lang’s own powerful Origin spells, his quickness, his regen and draining -and- the deadly possibly of a Mystic Arte... well, Lang is well-equipped to ensure that he won’t be burned in this match.

"STOP SAYING THAT STOP SAYING THAT STOPSTOPSTOPSTOPSTOP AUGHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHLKCH!" Hugo shrieked, as he stabbed Lang's corpse repeatedly.

As he'd been doing for the last fifteen minutes.

Sometimes, having bad VA really sucks.
