It's not over yet! ...Far from it, actually, as this is only the second round of the tournament. In any event, however, Zero's featured opponent this time around has one trick, and one trick only: the Pyramid. So what's Zero's strategy, in general and in specific? Hyper Mode, beat the crap out of the frail Turk with an inane brutality and with his trademark Z Saber, and possibly learn a new technique at the same time! Admittedly, the Pyramid isn't always the sort of thing that can be learned, and so what if Turks and Mavericks aren't quite the same thing? Doesn't change the innate fact that when something is stabbed with a large beam sword, it tends to get hurt really really bad, and, truthfully, that's all Zero needs to apply as a concept in this fight.

Just another day, just another dollar, just another job for Elite Turk Reno. He doesn't like doing unnecessary work or endangering his life. Fortunately, just as was the case against Vayne, Reno's path to victory against the outdated combat robot Zero is a simple and rather safe one. Sure, Reno would be no match for this Star Wars reject in a straight-up fight, but why would the crafty (and lazy) secret service agent stoop to that? Between Electromag Rod, Neo Turk Light, and of course Pyramid, Reno has no shortage of tricks with which to stop Zero in his tracks. And best of all, the swordsbot isn't nearly as fast as expected, giving Reno all the opening he needs. Looks like it'll take a tougher opponent than this for Reno to call it a day here.

The match was over in an instant. As soon as the bell was rung, Reno flipped up his rod and shot out a bullet of light to catch his opponent in the deadly pyramid.
Zero, also wasting no time, drew his...shield? Yeah, he pulled out a shield, held it in front of his face and smirked as the bullet of light bounced straight back, trapping a very confused Reno inside his own dirtiest trick.
Sighing, the Turk tapped the inside of his prison, "Hey, uh, I might be going out on a limb here but I'm pretty sure you aren't supposed to be able to do that."
Putting his shield up, Zero walked over to his trapped opponent, "Nah, I cleared it with the judges already. It's completely in the green."
"...how'd you pull that one off?"
"Bribes, flattery, convincing them that they really don't like you, the usual. Wasn't hard, the panel's nothing but PCs this time."
Cupping his forehead in one hand, Reno sighed, "A Turk on the wrong end of a dirty deal. Man, what's next, Peach kidnapping Bowser? Tch..."
Zero: 35
Reno: 14
