Two birds flying in the sky, feeling the breeze and crossing the infinite blue! That's quite a coincidence in and of itself right there, so it isn’t surprising that that’s more or less where the similarities between Nina and Yuki end. While Yuki's a competent swordsman with a neat trick in Flash, that won't really do much good against the princess of Winlan. While Yuki even has methods to handle Hold, he can do more or less nothing against Idle's brutal accuracy and speed busting. To make matters worse, his Flash gimmick is far short from everlasting. As soon as his SP peters out, Yuki will, almost literally, be a sitting duck against Nina - please pardon the avian pun.

Freedom. That's what Yuki's all about. Sure, society expects him to be a potter, but Yuki's got his own plans. Yuki's going to soar with his dreams and become a pilot, and nothing can stop him if he believes in himself! In much the same way, Nina, born a princess, wants people to conform. She wants to Hold Yuki in place and tell him to think small. Well, he won’t stand for it. He made a promise, and nothing, not Emelious nor pegasus knights nor winged ladies are going to hold him down. The aptly named Dragon Slash should remove frail Nina from the skies quickly, leaving the way clear for an ascent to Godlike. Nothing can paralyze Yuki's soaring spirit!

Yuki is a brave man.
Yuki is also someone who won't let anyone fool him, thinking he's stupid. No sir, he's not an idiot.

"I'm telling you, she's Nina, but not the one you're looking for!" Flik muttered in exasperation, as Yuki attempted yet again to step around him and combat his designated nemesis.
"Oh, you can't really think I'd fall for that old trick. How many Ninas can there be!? That's ridiculous, it's not that common of a name. And she's in an arena." Yuki cried.
"...Wait, why am I defending her?" "Sir Flik!?" Nina squealed, hiding behind him. "Okay, okay, fine, look, this stupid girl gets me into trouble a lot, but electrocuting you won't be much trouble in comparison to some of the stuff she's done."
"Hah! We'll see about that!" Yuki laughed, readying his sword.
Nope, Yuki's not dumb.
He's not precisely bright either though.
And most people who don't show up to their match don't end up in the infirmary anyways, so the results may be worse than being dumb anyways.
