Saturos is known as the Competent One. Not for his devious personality or his fairly good skills in combat, so much as for being less of a joke than his companion of sorts, Menardi. While the Mars aligned adept might seem like an easy fight for the fire peacock, several good fighters have been put down by his unassuming fighting style. Saturos will be counting on his defensive talents to see him through. He heavily resists Ho-Oh's best damage, and as always can blind his foe and increase his own defense. Healing also will come into play, as Saturos will need all the time he can get to exploit his advantages in resources. A mistake free battle should give Saturos the win, but it won't be easy for him to pull off!

They say you have to fight fire with fire, and in this match, Ho’oh will certainly be trying that tactic full force. Of course, that might be because he doesn’t have many other options! But that doesn’t mean that Fire Blast, especially under Sunny Day, doesn’t pack a mean wallop even to Saturos. And of course, with his excellent speed, incredible defensive stats, some back up healing, and of course, his own fire resistance, Ho’oh should have few problems dealing with Saturos’ own weaker offensive attempts. Even attempts to status Ho’oh can be counteracted with Safeguard! Saturos better get ready to feel the burn because Ho’oh is going to prove that he’s most potent Flameweaver in Heavy's ranks!

Sir Donald
"King's Bishop to QB4."
"Chess? They're two fire wielders, and they're playing Chess instead of battling?" To say that Garet was displeased would be an understatement.
"Actually this may end quicker than an actual battle," observed his companion Ivan. "I mean, they're resistant to the other's best damage, their alternates are nothing to write about, and they both have healing."
"But I want to see some action! I want to see an Inferno!" Unfortunately, Garet was gesturing at the arena at that time and when he said Inferno, psynergy leaped from his fingers at the assembled chessboard.
Standing roughly between Garet and the board, and getting the full blast, was the observer for the match, Mallow.
As the rain came down throughout the arena, their other companion, Isaac, facepalmed. Ivan sympathized, "No, we can't take Garet anywhere."
"I'm right here, you know!"
As for the chess match, Ho-oh eventually won, taking a total of one hour and twenty minutes.
By contrast, an actual battle would have taken one hour and twenty one minutes.
Saturos: 18
Ho-Oh: 21
