While Maya's greatest asset is useless against the gunslinging priest, the plucky reporter is far from down and out in a physical duel. Owing to Billy's slow startup speed, Maya will be able to utilize Maihime Amano's Dance of Protection before the priest gets off his first shot, which will shut down his ability to quickly double with his haste and catch Maya unprotected, giving her a few chances to slip in a shot of instant death with Hama. Unlike most, Maya's vast SP pools allow her to heal and fight just as long as Billy, and while he expends fewer resources to attack, he must additionally maintain his Goddess Call to remain fast enough to place pressure on Maya. Once Billy's haste has exhausted his resources, Maya can easily dispatch him with any number of spells at leisure, shoving Maya into her second Heavy Finals.

Billy once again calls upon his Goddess for aid, as for him, her Call will be needed. Speed is the name of the game here in the Heavy semifinals, as Billy must overwhelm Maya with his deathblows before her support game can get going. That shouldn't be a problem for Billy, who boasts nearly double average speed once his haste spell is in place and can stall with remarkable ease until he's ready to unleash a lethal salvo. Maya's own pathetic physical durability will leave her healing with little room to do anything else, fending off Billy's attacks with increasing desperation. Even if Maya somehow slips in a hit or two, Billy boasts full healing to go along with Goddess Eyes, keeping him on an even footing with the mage-reporter. Not even the power of Personas can match one so blessed by his church and goddess as Billy has been!
