Jowy may have already won the championship last season, but Garai feels no fear in the face of such adversity. Granted, given that he's possessed by a cursed sword and was already at the peak of power before that, it's likely that he can't feel any fear anyways. Garai is ready to throw his bone-breaking physical game against Jowy's equally brutal spellcasting. While Willbreaker may not have the full kick Hungry Friend has, Garai holds the edge in durability and may even outspeed Jowy with his blazing speed. It won't be an easy battle, but the Garai has already proven so far that he's not going down without a fight.

Jowy's hunger for victory in the arena has been met during this spectacular Heavy run. His already impressive Heavy championship was augmented by a second straight run through Heavy, to match his accomplishments as a King and leader of the Highlands. As typical, he'll face inferior competition in the finals - a simple Acacia Dragoon who holds onto life with the cursed power of undeath. No matter: Garai's shining blade is no match for the power of the Black Sword Rune, and Jowy's key advantages in speed and offense will make sure that the Rune gets to feed on the ghost's cursed life force.
