The King of Chaos Forest's first match at the RPGDL is barely worth his time and effort. Jr.'s gunslinging skills won't mean a thing when he's paralyzed, poisoned, and unable to say "Uncle". Quick on his feet and a master of the bow, it's unlikely Maru will miss his first chance at nailing Jr. with a status arrow. And if Jr. is somehow able to shrug off Maru's initial assault, the young scamp'll most likely have another arrow nocked and ready to fire. Maru's got an easy opening battle on his path towards a Heavy championship, and he's not going to miss this chance to prove that he really is The King.

Gaignun Kukai Jr. springs into the ring guns blazing and ready for action! Dual-wielding the advanced Blood9 pistols and sporting a versatile Ether repetoire, this bite-sized battler is no stranger to high-stakes combat. Though his foe possesses potentially crippling status arrows, all Jr. needs is one turn to cast Coin Lock to ensure a healthy battle. If he wants to be especially daring, he could wait for two turns and open with a Strength or Agility buffer, as the gunner is quickfooted indeed. After he's guarded against the young archer's debilitating specialty attacks, it'll be a good ol' fashioned shootout at the DL Corral - and when was the last time you heard of a bow and arrows beating a gun?

Yes, Maru's cheery exuberance can occassionally tread the border between "cute" and "obnoxious." It must be admitted, though, that he never quite o'erleaps those territories into the realm of "utterly inane." After only three minutes of listening to Gaignun Kukai, Jr. shout "Sayonara baby" while twirling his pistols in a narcissan display of flair and self-adoration, Maru did what many spectators thought to be impossible: shot an arrow into his own head.
Maru: 7
Jr.: 11
