The dour and overly serious Magus won't let the odd naming coincidence his opening match this season features distract him from the battle. What will distract him is Cascade's non-elemental magic Negative Rainbow - just the sort of attack that ignores his biggest advantage, Barriers. Still, Janus's innate stat-boosters will wear off after a few turns, and Negative Rainbow will be rather lacking in damage when that happens. All Magus has to do is make it to that point without taking too much of a beating, and he'll have the match. |

Janus Cascade faces someone who shares his first name this week - not that Filgaia's most cunning and selfish drifter of them all will care. Magus's barriers seem like a threat at first, but Janus gets right through them with his non-elemental Proton Beam and Negative Rainbow. Magus will be countering his every move, but Janus's own counterattacks will even the score. All in all, Janus is feeling like his old confident self. While the Dark Spear is not the Masamune that the other Janus fears, it'll sure strike some nasty blows on his opponent. |
Meeplelard Magus and Janus both entered the ring, Magus in his usual stylish teleporting fashion, and Janus in a far less stylish manner. "So, your the bloke who wishes to challenge me, is it? Fine, this should be fun..." he said, twirling his Bayonnette out... "Fool, I can't believe they sent a mere human to take down the likes of me" The bell rang, Magus withdrew his Scythe, and charged Janus, who instantly blocked with the blade on his weapon. Magus floated back a few feet, Janus fired off a Multi Blast from his ARMs, which Magus teleported out of the way of with incredible ease. Magus charged up a Geyser, and fired it at Janus, who rolled out of the way, getting only a minor scab, immidiatly threw a heal berry on himself. "Heh, for a pretty boy bloke like yourself, you're pretty good" Janus said, placing his Bayonnette on his shoulders, smiling Magus firmly planted his Scythe up, and his cape blowing in the wind responded "You're not so bad yourself" The two were ready for another charge when suddenly... "JANUS!" was heard by a young woman's voice "What?" Both of them responded, looking in the direction of the woman. There was standing Schala, which obviously meant she was calling for her brother, and not the drifter. "Darn it, time out, can you hold a second" "Fine, just don't take too long, you bloke. I get bored easily" Janus said, sitting down. "What is it?" A few minutes later, Magus came back, and called the match to continue. The two continued thier mighty struggle, when suddenly... "Yo, Janus! "WHAT?" Both responded again, this time having thier weapons clashed together. "can you help us out here? Dario's zipper is stuck again!" Romero shouted... "Those idiot blokes. TIMe out. Hang on a second while I go help those idiots of henchman out..." Magus agreed, having a few foolish ones of his own, he knows what its like having to be completely relied on. Janus came back, and called the match to continue. "Rising Nova!" Janus said, smacking Magus in mid air, and about to fire off his ARMs, again "Janus, yes, you there fighting?" "WHAT?" "Did I just hear my name called again?" Both looked down, and Ashley Winchester was standing there. "Damn it, what do YOU want now?" "I'm suing your ass for stealing my copy righted moves, damn it!" "Bah, copy righted? Pfft. Look how many recycled attacks there are, you don't see THEM complaining!" "At least those people don't steal each others looks and weapon. You even have my due, my hair color, my color style...and even my weapon, I'll see your ass in court!" "Whatever, you bloke, I'm fighting an OOMPH!" Janus was interrupted, as Magus ahd come out from being aireborne, landing on top of Janus, who had yet to fire off his Rising Nova. "Did you call me?" "No, I was speaking to the man your on..." "Allow me to first defeat him, we've been interupted enough as is" Janus got up and thought to himself "not once have I heard Siegfried complain about me stealing his moves and tricks" And that reminded him... "Alright, now I shall beat you bloke into the ground like a rail road stake! Behold my power!" Suddenly, the Dark Spear appeared, and Janus morphed into his Demon form. "Now this gets interesting..." Magus said, as he chanted a spell, followed by "Now the chosen time has come, to exchange this world for!" and suddenly, Magus awed in brilliant dark power, and was fully powered up... "Janus!" Both of them screamed "Not again!" as the fight was about to get interesting. Standing behind them was none other than Queen Zeal. "Oh, if it isn't my sad excuse of a mother, look, if you didn't notice, I'm fighting a match here, and damn it, leave me alone" "I was going to be nice, and tell you how to win, but oh well, suit yourself" she said, laughing After a few Proton Beams, Dark Bombs, Negative Rainbows, and Black Holes were thrown at each other. They agreed that they should just end the match now, before they get untimely interrupted again. "Alright, I'll use my greatest attack on you, while you attack me with your best, deal?" "So be it..." Janus charged up his Dark Spear, Magus risked casting a spell...then suddenly... "Ultra Negative Rainbow!" "Dark Matter!" The two blasts hit each other, the whole ring being blow up...and no one could see a thing... Then suddenly on the loud speaker "Due to knock out, the winner is...Janus!" The audience was silent...til Virginia blirted out "We know that much, but WHICH ONE! I just want to see who the winner is already!" And the winner between the clash of Janus Zeal and Janus Cascade was concluded when the smoke cleared, and when overlord Jogurt went up on the microphone, he pronounced the winner was indeed none other than...
