Season 13, Week 2
Zalbag Beoulve
(Final Fantasy Tactics)

In his first appearance in the RPGDL, Zalbag will want to take a cue from his fellow cast member Teta and enter the battle, well, dead. Indeed, Zalbag's undead form grants him many advantages. His wide array of ruin techniques will quickly reduce Hojo's strength and speed to nil, his innate Defense Up ability will further soften Hojo's physical-based offense, and any damage that gets through will quickly be negated by Move-HP Up. With all that, he should have no trouble at all surviving Hojo's sleep strategy - and proving once and for all that the key to success is fighting like Teta.

The Shinra scientist behind the Sephiroth project has finally decided to show the RPGDL what he's made of. Hojo's experiments in genetics have made him a more formidable adversary than he would normally be, and he'll be needing every drop of this extra power to take down Zalbag. Zalbag has a major advantage in physical power, but it's Hojo's status attacks that will ultimately decide this match. If the scientist can successfully poison, sleep, or slow Zalbag, he stands a very good chance at taking down the Beoulve Arc Knight.

Meeplelard
Zalbag is a warrior who believes in the Church.
Hojo is a mad scientist who loves genetic creations, and is a sin upon nature because of it.

One could view this as a match of Good vs. Evil, and...hell, that's what it is, what am I saying? As we all know, while Evil SHOULD always triumph cause good is dumb, Good WILL always triumph cause some stupid cliche says so...

Zalbag Beoulve: 53
Hojo: 15

metroid composite
Hojo is able to add sleep and poison very quickly at rather high accuracy, Zalbag is immune to neither status, and neither status wears off in FF7, hence this tends to be fatal.
