Season 17, Week 2
Id
(Xenogears)

Although Albel claims to be a madman, he knows nothing about the word he invokes, and Id intends to teach him the error of his claims. With speed that makes even the quick Albel blanch and the power to overwhelm even the massive, mechanical gears with just his bare hands, he's just the type of fighter a parasitic-healer like Abel fears. It won't take him long to double up on Albel while his opponent is desperately attempting to remain alive with Vampiric Flash, and four successive shots of Rajin should make Albel regret the day he messed with the true madman of Heavy.

While Id might claim to be the evil half of Fei's personality, mere claims cannot against the darkness that is Albel the Wicked. The terror of Airyglyph marks the second appearance for Star Ocean: Till the End of Time in the RPGDL and, like his Light counterpart Sophia, Albel intends to make a mark in his division. Like the rest of the fools this season, Id will be swept away by the finesse and style of Albel's swordplay, buried under the terror's furious slashes. Armed with the power of a dragon and mystical might of an aged vampire, not even a psychotic redhead will be able to stand in his way.

This match can oddly be summarized in four points:
Albel is a 'badass' with a penchant for killing things, sounding like he's better than everyone, and devolving into bouts of angst.
Id is a 'badass' with a tendancy to kill things, act like he's better than everyone, and spiral in to large angstfests, who also happens to have theoretically infinite power.
Therefore, from a certain point of view, Id is Albel's God.
And history has taught us what happens when a Man faces his God in mortal combat, usually in colorful pictures with a grease stain labelled "Man".
Of course, Id's not really a God, and Albel's not the religious type anyway, but the colorful picture of the grease stain named Albel still applies.
