Clive Winslett is a noble drifter who goes from land to land trying to repair the wounds left by his unsavory past. Unlike most RPG characters, though, he's not just some rootless loner - he has a wife and a daughter to care for on the side! His maturity shines through in many situations across his game, and such experience can only be a benefit as he takes up arms in the DL Arena. His first opponent of the season is Kanon, a mercenary with only half his skills. With his gun in hand and the Gatling technique up his sleeve as a last resort, Clive can't go wrong in this match. |

Unbeknownst to Clive, he summons a girl who comes from a visual novel/anime series that bears his name (Kanon, of course): Mai Kawasumi. Clive was dumbfounded at Mai's appearance, and in this distraction, the swordswoman slices and dices Clive to 0 HP.
