The fox soldier Ursula is ready for action. After a long leave from the Duelling League following her loss to that upstart Kratos Aurion, she shall make actual waves in the Heavy arena. And all she has to do to get started is beat down a simpleton, no-name monk. This shouldn't be difficult to deal with - well-paced gunfire will be more than enough to keep Iga's punch-savvy hands away from the dutiful eastern warrior. If she wants, she can always use more sophisticated options to shut her opponent down - with accurate confusion magic, she can easily keep Iga at bay until her dreaded Death spell connects, handling the threat swiftly and cleanly. Monks may have some spirit, but true fighting finesse is the realm of disciplined, experienced soldiers - just as Ursula happens to be.

Iga usually prefers to let his fists do the talking. Making an appearance in the DL at long last, the master monk is prepared to do his best to take on his first victim in the long trek to DL glory. Ursula's not a bad fighter by any means, but she is rather on the frail side, and her bullets will all but bounce off of Iga's iron skin as he pummels her with blows that she cannot withstand for very long. With his healing to keep him up, magic to boost his already impressive attacks, and also to make it even harder for Ursula to kill him, there's no doubt that Iga holds all the cards. Magic may do a little better, but not nearly enough to make a difference. A few quick martial arts combos, maybe a dab of earth magic, and Ursula will be down for the count and Iga will have risen in the eyes of his peers.

The path of the monk. Through intense discipline one can achieve a state of physical and mental readiness that dwarfs the common man's abilities. Iga has mastered this path, and gained power that would make most mortals tremble. The ability to shake off blows that would fell hearty men, the skill to utilize magic to heal himself or hurt his foes, the power to strike harder with his fists than many can with razor-sharp weapons...
None of this saves him from Ursula's simple Death spell, highlighting the difference between a monk and someone trained to kill. Welcome to the DL Iga, where the soldiers of the evil empire are actually competent.

A still, stunned silence.
A loud "Urk!".
A splash.
And then it was over.

"...Why did you tell me she couldn't beat people who were on ships!?" Iga said, enraged.
"Why did you listen to me when I said something so ridiculous?" Gogen shot back, cackling at Iga's annoyance.
