Sonya should take this in a yawn. It all plays right into her hands. She is up against an opponent who plays to all her advantages. You see he has to take his time if he wants to be efficient. A Kindness Drops here and there handles that with slow chipping away to slowly kill, or have Alex blow a huge chunk of his pool of endurance on healing himself. Alternately, if he tries to just burn her down with his big dragon fire junk, well she just takes the hit and throws up a heal. Job done, game over. At the end of the day she has more than enough durability and healing to see her through the brunt of any of Alex's possible strategies. Game set and match to the girl with the brutal spear, a dead 50 year old widower to mourn and a little soul eating munchkin to slowly chop into tiny little pieces. Take that youth of the world.

The Dragonmaster that saved Lunar from the clutches of Ghaleon has had a relative lacklustre history in the RPGDL. While a good fighter, he hasn't had a chance to shine yet, but he might just be getting his break this time. Sonya Shulen, while a respectable general, is not exactly the best fighter in the world. While her water rune supplies her with a vast quantity of healing abilities, this means little - healing isn't exactly effective when you can't take a hit. With a few uses of Vigor, Alex can power up his Sword Dance to the point where a single use will send Sonya reeling to the afterlife with her love Teo. And Alex has little to fear himself from Sonya - her scythe won't pierce his Dragon Armour, and with the regenerative abilities of Althena's Sword working in his favor, this match won't pose any difficulty at all for him.
