Season 43, Week 2
Rune Walsh
(Phantasy Star 4)

A demonic mother figure who protects her young, not so bright son. Boiling rage pulsing through the Esper. It didn't used to be this way. Rune's first DL matches were battles of domination. It wasn't until a certain red haired idiot showed up that he began to do the impossible- lose. No longer. While it's been nearly thirty seasons since Rune's tasted victory on the DL battlefield, he hasn't forgotten how to destroy opponents. While the matriarch of the Inugami clan may not fall to Negatis she has no such protection against the power of Legeon. A few blasts of Rune's strongest spell should send her flying- and Rune should easily get that time, with Saki needing a round to power up Energy Charge before being able to inflict any kind of damage.

The powers of the Harmonixers are famed for many reasons: their sheer destructive nature, a good variety of skills, and sometimes some... quite unfortunate gender-swapping forms. Luckily for Saki, she only opted for the destructive nature and a variety of skills, else this match would be even weirder. Either her Silence inducing physical or an Energy Charged clobbering would be excellent ways to take down her magic-reliant, physically frail Esper opponent. Of course, as a boss, she has little to fear from his status slinging, and with Energy Charge’s quick recharge time, her overkill strikes will likely even come before Rune can get a second turn. After all, if Harmonixers can do so well in Godlike, surely this Heavy will fall before Saki’s might.

Rune came to the battle in a tuxedo, equipped with a hangover cure, a fine wine glass and a moderately full stomach.

Saki, Rune.

Not sake.
