Season 50, Week 3
Kornell
(Grandia 3)

Kornell's pea-brained rampage is quite hard to stop. With the head of steam built up from smashing Middle into a fine red paste, he just got finished muscling through one of the hardiest duelers in Heavy. Now, he's goes from that hulking, resilient demon to a scrawny waif in a starship uniform. Well, the BUSTER's going to get a chance to shine. Maria's futuristic weaponry is painful, so Kornell's going to have to give it his all and try to snap Maria in two with a good use of his signature move. With WOW!, his great strength, and his lingering humiliation over being trapped and insulted by a woman that looks remarkably like Maria, he's in excellent shape to do just that.

There's nothing more healthy for your spacefaring rebel leaders than a bit of sparring training! And Maria has trained with the best - Klausians like Cliff Fittir and Mirage Koas are quite able combatants. A good, fair martial arts contest would be fun with fellow Middle champion Kornell, Maria matching his Megaton Punches with her area-clearing Triple Kicks. Of course, that's only for the warmup. For the actual match, Maria will skip "fun" and dive straight to the cheating: her incredibly powerful Energy Bursting gun. It might not win her a martial arts tournament, but it just might get her another Dueling League championship - this time in Heavy!

Kornell Buster is such a magnificent move.

But where's the love?

The strategy, the carefully planned thought that makes a match a real struggle of minds, as well as of body?

"...Uh...I don't think you can do that." Maria noted, looking down at her smashed gun.

"I just did." Kornell laughed slightly.

"But it's not legal."

"Legal? What do you mean, legal!? What does law have to do with a battle!?" Kornell was completely baffled.

"I'd argue, but really, the counter argument's not going to be any fun." Maria sighed, as she walked out of the arena.

And so, Kornell won through the strategy of showing people he can break things. Really well.

But in the end, it cost him something.

Namely, thousands of Fol replacing Maria's gun.

What, you thought she was going to pay for that?
