This is really quite simple. Jowy has a little rune in his hand that calls down swords. Takaya has a gun (along with nasty spells like Megidolaonn, of course). As these two evil masterminds clash in a battle to move on to the quarterfinals, Takaya holds the undeniable advantage of actually being a boss compared to Jowy's simple status as a pathetic wannabe hero. Between his superior durability and the serious damage he can inflict with his Persona and pistol, Takaya is sure to come out on top with ineffable ease. And then he will be one step closer to calling Nyx and bringing about The End...

Jowy is well acquainted with revolutionaries and terrorists, having both been one and fought against them during his time as King of Highland, and this Takaya is as dangerous as that breed comes - his charisma and nihilism is quite the threat. But if Jowy knows revolutionaries, he knows the art of war better, and his Black Sword Rune is on a different tier from Takaya's Hypnos. The so-called 'Revolver Jesus' has no defense against Hungry Friend, and with Jowy's blistering speed none of Takaya's status tricks will have a chance to work before the Black Sword strikes down another victim.
