Returning once again to the DL Arena, Cloud Strife is determined to finally claim a championship title. In this endeavour, he should call upon not only all of his Jenova-infused gifts but also his Lightning Materia, hoping that the initial shock will be able to fry the nanites from his first foe. Even without that advantage, he'll have little trouble against Emerelda; he's faster, stronger, and only becomes a greater threat as his HP drops. Whether opting for Cross-Slash's paralysis, Finishing Touch's instant death, or Omnislash's raw power, the result will be the same: a victory for the kid from Nibelheim. |

The nanogirl's DL debut puts her in a tough spot; the mako-infused Cloud boasts impressive defences, and a slice of his oversize sword would put a serious dent into anyone's health. Emeralda will likely want to forego her elemental magic for a straight-on physical assault, and her high speed should let her land enough hits to quickly reduce the effectiveness of her opponent's HP-reliant Ultima Sword. Still, she'll have to time her attacks carefully; if she lets Cloud pull off a limit break, it could be curtains for Kim Kasim's artificial daughter. |
