Season 10, Week 3
Jecht
(Final Fantasy X)

Fourty-one, sixty-six, eighty-two, hike! Star Blitzballer Jecht swaggers into the arena after a stunning debut, ready to show the Duelling League audience once again that he is the best. Massive durability, a massiver sword, and deadly petrification will all be brought to bear against the priestess Rosa Harvey in this clash of holy maiden and arrogant athlete. With each blow of his blade both slicing through Rosa's lacking defenses and delaying her next spell, Jecht looks to have this match in the bag.

After vanquishing the catboy Rei easily with her powerful combination of status and Holy, it looks like status will again save the day for this damsel in distress. Although Jecht is a boss, he is not immune to the white mage's Muddle spell. After that, all she'll have to do is to reapply the spell every time Jecht knocks himself out of confusion. Meanwhile, she'll be buffing up with her collection of support spells - or maybe, if she's feeling kind, throw in a couple of Holy spells to hasten the demise of Braska's Final Aeon.

Cmdr_King
There are only two facts that really matter in this bout.
1. Holy really, really hurts.
2. White Mages tend to faint as soon as you swing building-sized swords at them.
I leave it to you to figure out which one decided the outcome of this match.

Jecht: 39
Rosa Harvey: 13

Sir Alex
Jecht has the skills and the mind to take out Rosa - but he doesn't have the speed, nor the immunities. She shuts him down with Blink and Muddle and lets him slowly kill himself, with the occasional arrow assist.
