Hugo of Karaya, bearer of the True Fire Rune, has a lot to prove this week. Despite his resourcefulness as a fighter and powerful magic, Hugo has yet to match the DL successes of his comrades Chris, Geddoe, and even Thomas. Ayla is his third Heavy opponent, and Hugo desperately needs to prove he can get a win. Fortunately, he's in a good situation to finally do just that, as Ayla's deadly physical offence will be completely ruined by Hugo's brilliant evasion and parrying skills. With a Wind Rune to provide healing, and both his famous True Fire Rune and trusty dagger for offence, Hugo is ready to show Heavy that True Rune-bearers are creatures to be feared. |

Two unlucky duellers face off in this week's elimination matchup. Neither of them has ever won a matchL, and neither of them has been in for ten seasons or more. Although everyone would like to see both of these luckless duellers finally win, one of them has to go on home, and Ayla doesn't want that to be her. Hugo's True Fire Rune gives him a formidable offense, but Ayla's Ruby Armor can nullify whatever silly fire magic is thrown at her. And once that is taken care of, her healing should do the rest to seal the tribal chief's first DL win. |
Lackshmana What use would Hugo possibly have for the awesome destructive power of the True Rune of Fire, when... He gets 4 attacks per round, he is faster than ninjas, and when he is attacked, he not only dodges but also counters. And all this with a sickening critical rate. This ain't much of a fight.
