Season 18, Week 1
Rofel Wodring
(Final Fantasy Tactics)

At long last, Shrine Knight Rofel enters the DL arena. Luckily for him, his debut is a mere warm-up for for things to come, as he holds all the advantages in the match. Since its accuracy is perfect, there's nothing Sonya can do to him from breaking her weapon with Mighty Sword, leaving her completely unable to damage him. From there, it's smooth sailing to victory for the Temple Knight - He has no need to fear his opponent at all, and can take his time breaking all of the Water General's equipment, turning her into a statue, or just poking her with his shiny sword until she falls.

Since her last appearance fifteen seasons ago, Sonya has been preparing for her return to the arena. And now, finally, the Middle finalist from season 3 has her chance to shine again. Against the relative newcomer Rofel, Sonya's trademark water rune will be put to the test: she'll need to utilize all the wet and wild powers she has to take down the dreaded Temple Knight. With her trusty spear and a healing spells to outlast Rofel's magic attacks, Sonya can easily wash out her green foe, proving how much of a difference practice and experience make in the arena.

SageAcrin
Sonya Shuleen is a noble, honorable soldier with the purest of love for her country.

Rofel Woedring is a backstabbing conniver who will do anything to win.

...Bad combo.

Well, Sonya realized it was, as she finally made her way out of the Great Glacier. Rofel had simply cast Dejeon on her while she slept, the night before the match...

Of course, Sonya may be noble and honorable, but she happens to also be friends with way too many people, many of which have magic runes. And less honor/nobility.

So, Rofel being found dead from massive darkness/fire/wind/sword related injuries a few days later wasn't really a shock...but hey, Rofel has a friend that knows revival, and it's not like he hasn't died before...
