Shadow
(Final Fantasy VI) 		 
Fighting one-on-one with a great firebird may be different from Shadow's normal assassination missions, but it shares that same irreplaceable quality of there being a TARGET, which Shadow must KILL. And kill he will - Moltres is embarrassingly frail, has no protection from Shadow's instant-death attacks, and a glaring weakness to his Bolt Skean. The firebird is also legendarily lacking in offense against those faster than him, and Shadow...well, he's a NINJA. What more could you ask for?

 Hailing from the distant land of Kanto, Moltres is not so much a bird as a force of nature, the living incarnation of heat and flame, flying high above the mere mortals stranded below. And a living god such as this has little to fear from a mere ninja, much less one who lacks even the courage to confront his sordid past! Shadow may well leave his mark, but in the end the flames of Moltres shall consume his frail form with absurd ease, allowing the great bird to continue on its tour of this new realm.

Moltres flies into the Arena. An absolutley spectacular sight that makes many 6 year old pokenerds jump for joy. Shadow stands in the middle of the arena, not even twitching a muscle. Moltres dives at Shadow ready to unleash firey hell....

Water Edge, Water Edge, Water Edge, Water Edge......

All that's left is one thouroughly soaked and steaming bird and the tears of many children.

"MOLTRES! Moltres Moltres!" Not being a very intelligent bird, what with being able to be captured in a small circular ball by a small child, Moltres opted to try to peck Shadow's eyes out.

Shadow, being the ninja that he was, easily dodged this.

"...a Pokemon?" His voice rang with faint amusement. "I've killed targets in my SLEEP who've put up more of a fight." He took his hand off his sword.

"This fight isn't worth my time. INTERCEPTOR!"

"ARF ARF!"

The audience winced as they saw the dog make the once-proud Legendary Bird into his next meal.

A ninja versus a fire bird. Go ninja. Alright, I think anyone can realize that Shadow will win. How? Stunner, Dragoon Boots, Dragon Horn. Let me explain. Okay, so the Stunner casts "Stop" 25% of the time. Dragoon Boots lets you "Jump". Finally, Dragon Horn modifies the number of attacks for Dragoon Boots, so it will damage the enemy anywhere from 1 to 4 times for each time the "Jump" command is selected. Yeah, you get the picture. Furthermore, Shadow can throw ANY WEAPON IN HIS GAME. I repeat ANY WEAPON IN HIS GAME. Yes, that includes Atma Weapon, Scimitar, and Illumina. Plus, Shadow has RM's Law of Inverse Ninja Effectiveness on his side. It's bird stew tonight, kids!

If it was MY Moltres facing against Shadow, then my Moltres (Nicknamed it PheonixGod) will use very powerful Fire Type attacks such as Fire Blast and Eruption for example, to burn the little mortal into a crisp!^_^
