Rydia's the original summoner of the FF series, and the last of her race to boot, so she has a legacy to uphold. And the way she goes about it hasn't failed her yet. Rydia's strategy never changes; blast the guy with big flashy spells until he explodes, or just toss some status effect out and watch him die helpless. Needless to say, this fight will be no different, especially since her opponent isn't much of a slugger. Well, there is that little obstacle of Deathsword...or there would be if the Minerva didn't grant her total immunity to instant death. With that taken care of, a well-aimed Toad spell, or Nuke or Stop, or whatever else she feels like using, should be enough to make yet another ninja-like foe cower in fear of the last summoner of Mist.

With a finger up his nose and a chakram in his hand, Rapp's long-awaited return to the DL arena is sure to make an impact on whatever creatures have the bad luck to face him. And while Rydia's not exactly a creature, she does have the annoying ability to summon said monsters. But Rapp's dealt with far more powerful foes than this young caller. After all, Rapp was one of the elite group of warriors who defeated the mighty EVIL GAIA, one of the mightiest demons known to man. With Rapp's blistering speed, he'll easily get the jump on the slower caller, and one quick stab from his Deathsword will end the fight in the blink of an eye, before any of the green-haired caller's potentially threatening monsters can even make an appearance.

HAHAHAHAHAHAHAH! HAHAHAH! HAHAHA no. Rapp is versatile. Rydia is a weapon of mass destruction. Even if he could contrive a way of avoiding her harder spells, Mega Flare (which is unavoidable, unblockable, and is its own damage class so nothing can reduce its damage) would rip him to pieces. Rapp has some instant death going for him, that's true, but... well, Rydia is just... RYDIA. How do you argue with Mass Destruction to the Face?
