Season 25, Week 2
Freya Crescent
(Final Fantasy IX)

Two Dragoons duking it out in the Arena - this is what it is all about, folks! Freya has an impressive collection of moves in her bag of tricks, and the Dragoon's best friend, jumping, to back it up. Persistence and determination can take down many a foe when you have the ability to stretch out a fight as long as Freya can. Garai won't stand a chance once his blows start hitting empty air and the damage he takes just keeps adding up.

Garai has cut down hordes of vermin in his day, so dealing with one overgrown rat shouldn’t pose much of a problem. His years of training as a Dragoon Deva will far outweigh Freya’s puny jumping prowess, and his Willbreaker technique will shatter both the mind and body of the Burmecian rat-knight. And if he still can’t triumph after that, he can always channel the dark powers of the Masamune into the strength he needs to win.

Spears > Swords? Maybe in Fire Emblem. However even then, Garai weilds not one, but TWO swords. And two is always better than one. The lesson here is to walk softly but carry a large weaponry store on your back.

Or something like that.

Freya Crescent: 47
Garai: 55
