Season 30, Week 1
Hawk
(Seiken Densetsu 3)

After most of his cast had a shot in the arena last season, it's only natural that the most suave and talented of the bunch should make his appearance now, when the spotlight shines only on him. The thief of Navarre is one of the league's most skilled fighters, his dual knives perfect for slicing up evil. And they're sure to get some action today - Lede is as much of a devil as you'll find anywhere. This is perfect for Hawk - demons being his favored foe will put him at a significant advantage here. While Lede may be much stronger than Hawk, he has lots of other tricks up his sleeve. His jutsus will greatly weaken the demon assassin, and a couple shuriken will ensure that her deadly knives and other techniques will simply miss the fast, evasive warrior. Once Lede's properly disabled, a few Backslashes will strip the evil spirit from her body, leaving it cold and lifeless at Hawk's feet. You don't need Ghostbusters to take down the dead and the damned - a good ol' knife to the chest does it just as well.

Truly, this is Heavy combat at its most vicious. If the match lasts longer than a few seconds, it will be because Hawk stopped to ask for Lede's autograph. After all, the deadly, beautiful Assassin is everything Hawk wants to be (gender possibly not included, we aren't sure). His dual-wielding dagger work makes him a modest physical slugger despite lacking raw strength, but it is no match for Lede's wicked pair of Spell Edges. And more importantly, while he may have mastered a host of minor stat-downs and status effects, these all pale in comparison to Lede's deadly array of unfailing and very deadly assassin tricks of her own. Instant death, stop, petrify, charm... it hardly matters which of her skills Lede chooses to employ in this fight, as her Ninja foe is vulnerable to every one of them. It's too bad for Hawk...he finally arrives in the arena only to be sent packing an instant later, and this brusque dismissal might give him yet another reason to hate demons. If he's not caught up in idol-worship, that is.

All Lede has to do is go lesbian with Celia to get Hawk to concede. Either that or go lesbian with the Ultima Demon version of Celia, and get Lavos so turned on that he kills Hawk for the girls. Lede's noted for exceptional cruelity. It should also be noted that she has a thing for giant, planet eating creatures.

A quick thinking Hawk dyed his hair silver and started "talking" like "this". He still conceded the match, but no one would say he got the short end of the stick, after watching the two Assassins do things that would make Edge blush and Shion get out a video camera. Well, until Elmdor and Sephiroth beat the crap out of him for imping them. You can't win em all!

Hawk: 18
Lede: 71

Hawk will win. he'll just use the tried and true method of sitting back and throwing stuff at Lede. when she's so loaded down with status problems she can't do anything, he closes and finishes her.
