The Princess of Wyndia takes flight this week, as she faces the half-elf druid Jaheira. Like many an RPG leading lady, she sports a large amount of healing. But for her, the defensive game doesn't end there; resistant to physicals and magic both, she's a tough bird to kill despite the misleading HP score, and the combination of her Ouroburos staff and Diana's Dress protect her from all forms of status ailments and gravity attacks, much to the misfortune of her opponent this week. With such defences, Nina need not fear being taken out of the fight quickly, allowing her to pit her deep MP reserves against the meagre resources of the druid who stands before her. The first Nina already proved that the Wyndia clan can hold their own in Heavy, and now it's time for the fourth to show why she is considered the best of her line. |

So, the pretty little princess who has no experience with the real world is to be Jaheira's opponent. Nina may be immune to status effects, be highly resistant to damage and have lots of healing, but this is far from a one sided match. Jaheira is capable of calling forth a small army of elementals and animals to her aid and with them she can increase both her own and their martial prowess to great heights. In a slow match like this Jaheira has all the time she needs to chip away and smash down this pathetic, frail little bird of an opponent. Nina is too soft, frail and gentle for the real world that she has avoided and ignored, being a spoiled little brat of a princess. Nature is harsh, and will crush her beyond recognition; Jahiera will thus be Nature's represenative in the DL as she heralds forth the true power of the earth! |
SageAcrin Two strong, independant women. Could they do what the other had? Could they struggle with the live the other had lived? Evidently not, as this match showed. While Nina had no real problem chewing out a half-elf, being a tree-hugger, healing and bludgeoning things with a stick, and generally being taciturn, Jaheira completely failed at being embarressed, generically sweet, a powerful wind mage and flying. Especially the flying. Actually, she broke both legs within about ten minutes of trying to live out Nina's life, via falling down a cliff. So, Nina won thoroughly.
