Having bested a king, Surt now moves on to face an immortal angel. With the pride of representing his pantheon on the line, the King of the Vanir is sure to give his all in his quarterfinal match this week. Vulcanus is no weakling, but his angelic magic is still no match for Surt's fearsome greatsword, even before Might Reinforce can come into play. And unlike Edgar before him, Vulcanus has no resistance to the fire element whatsoever, meaning Surt's unique combination of the infernal element and raw strength will barbeque Lamington's underling before he can finish saying "Nefarious Flonne!" And although Vulcanus may go to his grave believing his undoing will somehow be the work of that angel trainee, onlookers everywhere will realise that the victory is one that is a testament to the power of the Lord of Jotunheim! |

Having harshly dealt with that trollop, Vulcanus barely gets a moment to relax before another sinner comes along begging to be punished. But that's fine. While the saying may go "no rest for the wicked", there is also little rest for the pure and righteous who must pass judgment upon the sinners and their evil deeds. And this Surt is wicked indeed, leading his dastardly Vanir forces to war against the very Gods of his land, a trespass for which he shall burn. Yes, BURN. Surt may think to harness the power of fire just as the Archangel does, in a move of wisdom rarely seen amongst foolish evil, but he has no protection from it, leaving himself vulnerable to the terrible heat of Divine Anger. It will not be long before this blasphemer against the Heavens is cowering at the feet of the Archangel Vulcanus, begging for forgiveness. |
Gatewalker Let's compare. Surt has excellent fire damage. Vulcanus has excellent fire damage. Advantage: Neither. Surt does not resist fire. Vulcanus does not resist fire. Advantage: Neither(and really guys, the hell is up with this?) Vulcanus has healing. Scrubby, but healing. Surt does not. Advantage: Vulcanus. Surt has Might Reinforce to make his attacks stronger. Vulcanus has no such thing. Advantage: Surt. The extra boost from Might Reinforce is a whole hell of alot more then Vulcanus' scrubby healing. Game: Surt. Vulcanus might be a pretty powerful angel, but full Gods think twice before picking fights with the lord of the Vanir. Surt: 42 |
