You know what ancient fiends of air eat for breakfast? Elves. It's recommended that Tiamats get at least three young, nubile elves per day to maintain a proper dietary balance. While Jerin's a bit on the scrawny side, all things considered, she'll make a tasty enough morsel here as a warmup. Tiamat's breath attacks will poison, freeze, and burn the half elf, letting Tiamat work her deadly magic. Chaos's will must be inflicted on the lower divisions this season, and the fiend of air is more than willing to do this for her master. Starting the festivities by sending a goodie goodie like Jerin to a ruinous defeat is the perfect start of the reign of terror for the Final Fantasy fiend force!

Even Jerin was quite shocked to learn that she got a berth in this season's Heavy. But this certainly doesn't mean she won't give her all in this field, especially when the odds of victory look so good! After all, her first opponent, the Fiend of Wind, Tiamat, isn't all that impressive outside her vaunted durability. The Fiend's best offense is just a typical lightning spell, which gets easily handled by Jerin's Mirror, and past that, the half-elf has a basically endless supply of healing and excellent speed to outstall her dragon-like foe securely. For Jerin, it'll be nice to put up a good showing in her current division after her poor debut, and it looks like her good fortune is just getting started.

Yet another battle no one cares about.
No beautiful women.
No gorgeous chicks, oh, no.
Just an ugly monster! No tentacles even! Just a horrible, ugly, vicious, nasty monster! And a flat-chested elf girl!
Who could possibly enjoy a match like this? No one!
Ever! Why, I-

"...Hey. I mean, you know, I do enough stuff to get beaten up, but trying to get me beaten up?" Zidane noted, as he secured Junpei's gag. "And you're really not that good at mimicing my voice. Though, it was a good way to try to rally perverts, I kinda guess. I dunno, Dagger's been nuking me so much that the horrible pain has gotten old. Maybe I should turn over a new le-"
Zidane's ramblings to the gagged Junpei were cut off as Tiamat smashed through the wall.
Evidently it's feelings were hurt enough to throw the match. Directly through the commentator's box, as it were.
Ultimately, Zidane didn't remember the last hour or so. So, philosophical changes will have to wait for another day.
Maybe it's just as well. That had to have hurt.
Tiamat: 13
Jerin: 26
