Season 8, Week 3
Reno
(Final Fantasy VII)

The stylishly shabby Turk finds himself with yet another landslide victory as he faces a mage with impressive healing, wind magic, good speed... and absolutely no resistance to Pyramid. With Nina's magicks only a minor annoyance, all Reno has to worry about is fixing up his hair after the match. After weathering the initial Typhoon, Reno can seal the match with but a few flashy lens flares and cap it off by adding a winged Wyndian to his collection of encased opponents.

Having breezed through a storm of less-buffeting opponents, the Princess of Windia finds herself against a much more chilling foe in Reno the Turk. His Pyramid looms on the horizon - can Nina blow through it, with the speed of a gale and the gusts of a Typhoon? Good thing for Nina that Reno is fairly lacking in durablity. It's hard to use your trademark attacks when you're being torn apart by a hurricane.

Protesting the cheapness of Pyramid, Nina made a request to the judges to allow her someone on the sidelines to hit her whenever she got encased. The judges agreed, but only on the condition that said person would only be able to free her, and not interfere in any other way.

Nina and Reno both agreed to this ruling.

When the match began, Reno quickly used Pyramid, and Nina could only wait for her hero to free her... and quickly got struck down by the Ultima Weapon.

The last thing Nina thought of before passing out from Cloud's damage was why Reno had been so adamant in choosing her attacker.
