Following the ideals of his Goddess, and armed with the vestments of man, Billy Lee Black looks to have more of an impact this time than his very brief appearence in season two. With his usual array of excellent defensive spells and Deathblows, Billy can last and chip away against even the best, which Shuyin isn't. One Billy is able to start calling upon his Goddess for hasting and healing, he'll be well on his way to showing the Terror of Zanarkand what a man of a cloth can do. |

Final Fantasy X-2's first entrant into the DL may have seemed moody, but she is nothing compared to the raw hatred of Shuyin. Considering his desire to destroy everything, Shuyin couldn't be happier with a draw like Billy, both a healer and a priest. The destruction of Billy is assured, because the Terror of Zanarkand can annihilate opponents far more durable than Billy in a single blow, meaning the somewhat sluggish gunner will be dead before he can react. |
Sage Acrin Shuyin, a being of pure hatred, raging against the world, and attempting to destroy it for what it had done to him. Billy, a young, naive priest whose only focus in life is taking care of those who cannot take care of themselves, who was willing to risk his life to save the world. Not a lot in common. Fighting styles, backgrounds, personalities, appearance, ages, totally different. Yet they both have one thing in common. Giant mecha. No one was really surprised when Shuyin attempted to bring Vegnagun on the field, in order to destroy the world. (It's not like he has any other motivation in life.) So, technically, he'd already lost by that point. However, Billy, after climbing into El Remazou, managed to reduce the massive Machina to scrap metal, giving him both the moral and legal victories.
