Max has more options than your average Shining Force fighter - with the legendary sword Chaos Breaker, the combination of the Sword of Light and the demonic Sword of Darkness, he's not only the best physical attacker on the Force but also a reasonably accomplished spell-slinger, capable of using the Breaker to hurl an infinite number of Freeze3 spells at his opponent from afar. Combined with his superior defense and HP, that's more than enough to win against the likes of Neifirst. It won't be a particularly strategic match, but Max has the edge in strength, defense and staying power, which is all it takes to eke out a win.

The first Numan of Algol went nineteen long seasons without a match. But this all changes now, and Neifirst will terrorize the Heavy fighters of the DL much like she terrorized Motavia. Her first victim is Max, the mute hero of Guardiana, whose best combat strategy is strikingly similar to her own - strike hard and endure take hits until the enemy lies dead. And, of course, Neifirst can do that much better than Max can, with her deadly claws, blistering speed and enhanced constitution. Neifirst's anger against humans translates into raw, bloody power, and she'll be happy to show how far that strength can take her in the arena.

Well, actually, this match could have been good.
Unfortunatly, Max was foolish enough to accept an invitation to Neifirst's house.
It seems she'd offered to throw the match if he'd just come visit her. It sounded so simple.
Unfortunatly, Neifirst's house is a massive sprawling installation known as Climatrol. Which requires a fetch quest even to get in to.
By the time Max got out, four seasons later, it was not only too late to get to the match, but his entire room had been cleaned out by Slade, no one recognized him until he shaved off the beard, and Tao had dumped him for Torasu.
Poor guy.
Well, he did manage to get some satisfaction, by stealing her clothes when he finally got to the top of Climatrol, and handing them out to random perverts for free...Neifirst tried just bashing people's faces off and taking the clothes back, but it turned out that Max had made a one per person rule, which basically meant half the Duelling League was either wearing or fondling something she wore...
Max: 24
Neifirst: 26
