Unlike some lesser elemental mages, Luc's power is manifest everywhere. From the air people breathe, to the wind that stirs and swirls whenever a fighter's about to take the field, the little wind mage's power is always around. With Eternal Wind's power, even the lord of the Sinistrals will be leveled by the force of a thousand hurricanes. Shining Wind more than matches any sort of damage Daos can pump out. And while he's not the toughest against physicals, Luc laughs off even the strongest of spells, leaving Daos with few options. Even the fearsome Dark Reflector will be of no use - what's the point of a move that blocks one attack, when Luc can destroy it with a single casting of the Shredding?

Leader of the Sinistrals, master of Terror, Lord Daos will not suffer the obstructions of puny mortals and usurpers on thepath back to Godlike. Wrongfully dropped down from his former domain to this miserable division, Daos will stop at nothing to strike down all who would oppose his rightful ascension to greatness. Luc will be but a stepping stone on that staircase to the high heavens. This boy wizard isn't exactly the most powerful or hardy of fighters, in stark contrast to the mighty and durable Lord of Terror. With his dreaded Terror Wave to send wind-boy fleeing in fear, and his patented Dark Reflector to repel the foolish wind mage's paltry spells, Daos will surely come out on top in his opening bout.

Well, this is an interesting match-up- however, Luc's weakness is his low tolerance of physical trauma (as well as a general distaste for the world) and Daos is woefully unable to deal out physical trauma. On the other hand, Daos is weak against mortals who wield incredible power as well as superior artifacts, both of which Luc has in good supply. Then there's the fact that Daos is one of the most pathetic final bosses around- he's a gigantic disappointment, usually, and the most talented mage he's ever been up against has been Lufia, who, by the way, can't hold a candle to Luc in terms of mageishness.
Luc's weakness, however, will be the same weakness that Tir McDohl suffers from: Though his spells are really powerful, he has a very limited supply of casts. Even in the best situation he can only pull off his greatest magics four or five times in a fight, whereas fighting Daos would end up being a long, involved affair. I'd still estimate that Luc can beat Daos, who manages to be more of a disappointment of a final boss fight than Kefka, but it would be reasonably close.

Daos: 28

Sinestral respect lacking. Luc wins a match. *waves Number one fangirl flag to Luc*
Luc: What did I do to deserve this?
