Season 32, Week 3
Nina Wyndia
(Breath of Fire IV)

It feels good to be on a winning streak. The wind blowing under her wings, that fresh, gentle breeze rustling the cheeks...victory is as fun as flying, and Nina the Fourth shall fly to yet another victory against the Dark Dragoon Rose! It's pretty simple - Nina's nearly-unmatched equipment options allow the Wyndian princess to null every single trick the Dark Dragoon has, forcing her to rely on pure damage to win this fight. Nina only needs to leisurely alternate between castings of Typhoon and Restore - and it won't take long, since Rose's damage isn't that impressive and she is a bit frail herself. Princess Nina shall to aspire to that wonderful feeling of freedom victory gives!

After the bizarre and unpredictable antics of Maya Schroedinger, fighting a magic-wielding fair-haired winged girl will make Rose feel far more at home. But then, when has Rose ever needed such comforts to win before? In any case, Rose holds several key advantages over the inexperienced princess. First, with the Dragon Buster, her physical attacks will put Nina on the defensive, forcing her to start healing immediately. Second the mighty armor of a Dragoon can deflect her windy assaults with hardly a tickle. And if all that wasn't enough, she can summon the unstoppable Black Dragon directly. But whatever her means, Rose has this match well under control, to no one's surprise.

Ahhh, Rose and Nina, two beautiful women.

Clearly, there was no other fate for them, was there?

Covered in mud, or chocolate, or whipped cream, in the Duelling League, there's only one thing that can happen when two women are forced to fight, isn't there?

And no force in heaven, on earth, or raging in the bowels of hell, could possibly stop it.

Right?

-URK!

"...You killed the narrator?" Rose asked curiously.

"No, just knocked him out. You can't kill narrators." Nina said, putting her staff away.

"Oh. Well, that's a shame." Rose shook her head. "Well, you managed to stop that disaster, like you said you would, so I'll hold up my end and throw the match. I still can't believe you managed this, though." Rose added, shaking her head.

"Oh, you'd be amazed how many things breaking the fourth wall fixes." Nina replied, grinning.
