Season 40, Week 2
Edna Capone
(Shadow Hearts: From the New World)

Lassic may be a king, but has he peered over the abyss of death and returned with unimaginable power? No, he is but a man relying on the powers of life to dominate his matches. Edna, her heart filled with malice, will prove that there is no escape from the grasp of death for anyone! Lassic may be a powerful fighter, but Edna dreaded’s stock combos are feared through Heavy for good reason. This stunning beauty can unleash powerful chains of damage that few foes can stand against, and her durability will let her take her opponent's damage and keep on fighting. Lassic may be durable, but waves upon waves of physicals, Black Holes and Shock Maxes are too much for anyone to stand up against. Edna’s dark powers will surely spell doom for the cursed king once again.

The most well-known ruler of Algol hasn't had much luck in the RPGDL - losses upon losses do not fit a regal power such as him. But that will all change this season! A fresh new face, and a lovely one like that cursed Landale herself - just the right foe to get his congealed blood boiling! The resemblance to that cursed woman - she will pay! Edna might be the sister of the most powerful gangster the world has known, but all the connections in the world won't save her from a quick death. Easily more resilient than the frail woman, King Lashiec's powerful AnotherGate will be more than enough to crush the feeble Edna. His powers unfettered by any crystals, the full force of his deadly ThunderHalberd will be the last thing Edna sees on her way to the grave. The king is back, baby!

The graceful, sweeping moves.

The dangerous close maneuvers.

The fright in Edna's eyes.

There was no hope.

"You really do dance divinely, my dear." Lassic noted. "I'm glad you didn't reject my dance offer before the match."

Edna rapidly nodded with a fixed smile on her face.

"...I guess he doesn't know that she's only evil and demonically powered when she's Malice infused." Orlandu said, as he stared blankly at their dance. "Which doesn't happen before a match."

Ultimately, Edna, smiling broadly, apologized effusively and said there really was somewhere else she had to be, no, it's a pity she had to miss their match, but she really had to be going.

Lassic simply bowed solemnly.

Edna gasped and ran quickly out of the arena.

Lassic smiled slightly. That had been far, far too easy.

Though, really, she did dance divinely. He'd have to see about getting her infused with Malice for a night on the town some time.
