Boomerang lives his life in search of the perfect battle. Looks like he needs to continue searching. The harsh arenas of the duelling league have not been as harsh as Boomerang would like, as he is pitted against the mentally challenged crybaby Sync. Sync, being another stupid proponent of the "lead with your weakest and don't bring out your heavy artillery until later" strategy found so often in RPGs will crumple quickly before Boomerang's fast powerful sword strikes that he comes right out of the gate with. Sync may hit surprisingly hard and fast for a stupid little kid, but he holds back for too long, and he's as fragile as his frame would lead you to believe. A few slashes will give Boomerang a victory before he has to worry about any Mystic Artes.

Bah. Why should Sync bother fighting these meaningless duels, anyway? It won't cure his inner pain! ...Well, unless he gets killed. But that didn't work very well in his own game, honestly, so why would it help here? Besides, there's not much chance of this worthless fool Boomerang standing up to him anyway. Sync may have been discarded as trash at birth but, well, that's not exactly a real big impediment to success in the Duelling League. Exhibit A: Kahran Ramsus. And they're alike in ways other than being self-loathing clones! Sync is also a terror in the arena, with high damage in a variety of elements and powerful overkill limits that the Metal Demon just doesn't have the offense to chip past. An easy victory for the by-product no one wanted.

For this match, both contestents decided to let the other character choose an activity they must perform. The panel of judges then decide who performed the activity better.
Boomerang, deciding to test his opponent's strength and merit, let his opponent destroy a set of targets with all the power he has. Not a problem, one Akashic Torment took care of that.
Meanwhile, Sync, wanting to at least to get a chance to go on an emo rant if he lost, forces Boomerang to beat him in an angst poetry contest.
Boomerang disgusted by this set of events, simply forfeited and smacked Sync upside the head before leaving for showing such weakness. Regardless of him winning, Sync is now continuing to whine about on about his emo despite nobody listening.
Somethings just don't change in the DL.
