Season 5, Week 3
Liete
(Grandia)

Liete's in a good position for this match. Enclose will let her take the extra time it will take to make Beatrix very much less than useful or effective. First, Cold's speed decreasing effect will make Beatrix the proverbial slug, and let Liete have fun with keeping her Enclosed later on. That's to say nothing of Protection, which will make Liete impenetrable to any of Beatrix's tricks when she gets her slow, slow post-Cold turn... And did we mention that Liete can drain Beatrix's MP with Enchantment Dance? All in all, the guardian of Alent is in good shape for this match, and can look forward to the red tablet of victory!

Beatrix has an eye patch, a pretty sword, and a nasty skillset. Seiken offers her both massive magical and physical damage, and she can both heal and status Liete out with a simple word. She has a major speed advantage, and even though Liete has healing, she runs out of gas quickly. All Beatrix will have to do in this match, then, is to weather the first Enclose...

Dark Holy Elf
The guardian of Alent faced her foe. General Beatrix curiously wasn't doing anything, obviously waiting for Liete to act first. Perhaps that was to be expected from an expert in tactics like her military foe against many opponents, but Liete was hardly a typical mage. Nothing could stop her best attack, not even boss immunities. Well, it no longer mattered, since the General was dead. "Holy light, seal those of evil-"

"Reflect!"

Liete's face was frozen in horrific understanding for a moment... and then the Seiken attacks came.

Liete: 10
Beatrix: 11
