URTV #666 has some sympathy for this poor, crazed half-elf. Jr.'s failure led to his "brother" Albedo's insanity (and the rest of the URTVs, too), and Mithos still hasn't really saved his sister Martel. But Junior is at least trying to save the universe now! And his fashion sense is far better. Everyone knows the snappy and stylish hero triumphs over the villain with the weird mutated final form. Aside from that, this match looks pretty tough at first glance. Junior's original abilities might have problems slugging through two forms, but he's packing some new skills from Xenosaga 3 to even the odds just enough. Overtaker allows for crazy boost stockpiling, and, more importantly, Jr. now packs healing. It'll take a bit of luck to dodge Mithos's more random attacks like Judgment, but if anyone can do it, it's Gaignun Kukai, Jr..

Really? Another warrior that looks younger than he really is? Mithos may have found a kindred soul in Jr., but that's where the empathy stops in the his fight. Wielding magic at a level beyond human comprehension, the ancient helf is able to deal with just about anything that comes his way. Jr.'s guns are no match for the unbridled magical fury that Mithos commands - the terrible destructive power of Indignation is more than enough to crush the somewhat frail child, and should that not be enough, Retribution's disabling powers will be enough to weaken and debilitate Jr., preventing any counter-attacks on his part. Jr.'s usual arsenal of tricks, including his melee ignoring Phantom Fly, are useless against the magic that Mithos commands, and without anything to turn the tide, Mithos' victory is assured.

This was a rather brutally simple match. As soon as Jr. entered the arena, Mithos started to grandstand a bit and promptly got shot in the mouth. Everything Mithos tried to do or say was simply met with more bullets. By the time he finally slumped over and stopped moving, Jr. must have fired a couple hundred rounds into him. Then, still without saying a word, the URV dumped another couple dozen rounds into Mithos's corpse.
As the judges announced Jr.'s win, he just walked out of the arena without even stopping to wave to the crowd.
Up in the stands, Luke Fon Fabre was a little stunned by that display. Looking around, he saw Jin sitting a couple rows down and hopped down to talk to him, "Hey, Jin. Is there some kind of bad blood there or something? I know Mithos is pretty easy to hate, but that was just overkill."
Jin chuckled, "Well, Jr. wanted to do his research on his opponent, so he spent some time online looking up Tales of Symphonia. This got him sucked into a raging flamewar with a few of it's devoted fans. You know, the ones who think it's the best game ever despite it being their only exposure to the Tales series."
Luke blanched, "Oh. Yeah, okay, I should probably go tell Lloyd and his crew to just stay out of his way for awhile..."
