The Lady Harken. Swiftest and most skilled of the Quarter Knights. An avid fan of reading like Maya knows all about such a storied figure. Of course, Maya always thought Calamity Jane was the real heroine of those stories, and indeed, based her life around the adventures and attitude Jane brought to the wilderness. But more importantly, it was with the skills and knowledge of Jane that Maya was able to defeat... whatever Harken's boss actually was. So really, what exactly does Maya have to fear? An archaic, fast-drawing demon versus all the artillery Maya can pull out from her skirts? Yeah, that's not lopsided. Not at all. Sheesh.

Lady Harken combines the Fast Draw of the Knights of Arctica with the superhuman endurance of the Metal Demons. When you pair the two, an unstoppable terror is unleashed. Lady Harken brings the best of those two worlds to bear against Maya! The drifter is a powerful and wily opponent, having a myriad number of forms and techniques to call on. A lesser opponent would be dazzled into defeat by the options and variety brought to bear against them by Maya, but not Lady Harken! For she will use her superhuman agility and metallic endurance to smite Maya down, taking the drifter's best shot and then laying her out with her own stellar power!

Maya learns her combat techniques from books, right? So what harm could there be in reading a tome that has been known to transform a weak little wannabe into an incredibly infurating superboss?
Well, for one, she got DQ'd right off.
Secondly, she didn't even win. Lady Harken does happen to be a demon, so she already knew about the strongest book of sorcery in the demon realm. After taking a single hit, she retaliated with Azrael and sent the thing flying from Maya's hands. Then Maximum Risk did the rest.
And of course there's the part where once the word got out about who had the thing, the usual suspects went and blew her the hell up to get it back.
They still haven't figured out how Maya got her hands on it in the first place. Obviously, whoever sent it to her must be a being of pure malice~
