Season 12, Week 2
Nina Wyndia
(Breath of Fire IV)

A Nina in Heavy is no longer new, but a Nina winning Heavy - as the fourth is trying to do - certainly will be. Her first opponent, Geddoe, will likely be her most difficult. That says little; a combination of high speed, the Barrier spell, and the Warding Staff means that she quarters magical damage before Geddoe can even move. With Hammer of Raijin reduced to laughable damage, Nina will be able to last an eternity against her opponent - and the twenty uses of full healing are just icing on the cake. The reverse doesn't hold true, though - Nina's wind magic will easily blow Geddoe away.

Several seasons of struggling to break into the RPGDL have finally paid off for the bearer of the True Lighting Rune. Geddoe is primed and ready to prove both his mettle and the sheer destructive power of his thunder magic. With Hammer of Raijin and Thunder Storm at his side, Geddoe's opponents seldom last long. Patience will be the way to go in this match, however; Nina has excellent magic defense and lots of healing, so it won't be wise for him to unleash a powerful spell first thing. Once he runs Nina out of healing with his physicals, though... a crashing storm of 2000 damage will be what awaits the Princess.

If there's one thing Pokemon has taught us, its that Electric Types > Flying types.

Seeing as Nina flies, and Geddoe has the True Lightning Rune, the same logic can be applied here...

Nina Wyndia: 17
Geddoe: 19
