Season 13, Week 3
Garland
(Final Fantasy IX)

Having taken the DL's newest cop out of commission, Garland sets his sights on the next victim: none other than Sir Auron of Spira, legendary Guardian and renowned slayer of fiends. The villainous overlord plans to carry out the same battle tactics that served him so well last round: stop Auron in his tracks... literally. Garland's high accuracy Stop spell inflicts a permanent, game-ending status effect, and there is nothing that his opponent can do to prevent it. His blitzing speed assures him a fast action against the sluggish Auron, who has but one attack to strike Garland down - and that, sadly, won't be enough.

Another week, another match for the Legendary Guardian... though this one may give him reason to pause - literally. If Garland's infamous Stop spell can take its hold on the reigning Heavy champion, it's game over. With his deadly status attack backed up by excellent speed and command of both physicals and magic, Garland is the biggest challenge Auron has faced yet. Still, the leader of Guardians is no stranger to a stiff challenge, and he won't back down now. It's a long shot even if he manages to get off both Power and Magic break to cripple Garland's offense, but Auron's ready to tough it out to the last desperate swing of the Masamune.

Tonfa Baton
Auron entered the arena. He was about to fight a status-whore boss...he recalled the time he fought Yunalesca alone...he probably would have no chance. But at least he could earn some style points by losing in a very badass way.

"Now! This is the time to choose! Lose the match and be free of pain, or live to fight the evil that created Zidane!" he yelled, and charged at Garland.

His fans cheered. Garland remained calm.

"And now is the end of that time." Garland used his trademark(?) Stop spell.

But Auron was no longer there. Garland looked around...to find his opponent pinned to the arena wall by shurikens and getting his ass kicked by a ninja squad.

Poor Auron. Losing the match in a humiliating way is bad. Getting your ass kicked because you forgot the existence of the RPGDL Spoiler Squad is worse.

Can an Auron SCC beat Choco-Eater? Not easily; it's nigh-guaranteed that he'd be knocked off the cliff. What's Garland's trademark? Like he claims, he will "KNOCK YOU ALL DOWN!" Auron is so screwed....
