Season 2, Week 3
Cecil Harvey
(Final Fantasy IV)

The original Dark Knight turned good, Cecil the Paladin continues his Heavy run to strike a blow for old school. With nothing but a huge sword, a hero's stats, and minimal healing, Cecil aims to prove that the new age has nothing on the old. His attack strength is amazing with his Ragnarok, he takes hits and keeps on going, and he can even heal for a decent amount if needed. He's got the hero power....will that be all he needs to take down Augustine?

Augustine, like Cecil, is a good swordsman, but that's about where the similarities end. Whereas Cecil is a Paladin, beloved by all, Augustine is more of a free-thinking swordsman, and is likely loved only by himself. That won't stop the rose-powered narcissist from doing what he does best: attack quickly and painfully with his Red Rose Rune, which will likely tax even Cecil's solid defence. In the meantime, Augustine will have to hope that his unmatched parrying skills will be able to hold off his opponent's masterful strikes, since if they don't, Cecil's Ragnarok will drop the pitiful-defence Augustine in a heartbeat.

Fun fact time! Fun fact A. Cecil has monster defense and accuracy. B. Augustine takes hits like a Suikoden mage. C. Fact A means that Augustine won't OHKO with Red Rose, and it means his vaunted Parry score is useless. All these facts add up to a win for everyone's favorite Paladin.

Cecil Harvey: 5
Augustine: 2
