The genius Craymel engineer has taken Light by storm: first the great knight Lowen, and now the warrior Piccolo have fallen to Meredy's powerful magic. It's only a matter of time before the girl with a Destiny takes the first Tales championship the DL has ever seen! Cai himself may be a great and honoured master of magic, but not even he can stand up to Meredy's assortment of Craymel Artes. Her abilities allow Meredy to match Cai element for element and then some, easily weathering his assault before her counterattack shows him just how grand her Destiny as Light champ really is. |

Cai's task this week is simple. Meredy may have a single powerful attack in Destiny, but that's all she has. That might be enough to just barely kill Piccolo, but Cai is made of far tougher stuff than the eldery Suikoden mage. Cai's innate elemental resistances weaken the attack, so he can easily take the blow, and recover with Heal. With Destiny expended, Meredy has nothing left but a few minor spells and her pathetic physical, making her no threat at all to the Warlock. A few uses of Frost cast from Light's greatest thinker will quickly put Meredy down and send Cai to the finals, where glory and victory await. |
Superaielman Cai looked up at the arena. A small girl was waiting in the ring for him. He could possibly win the fight, but it'd be an incredibly painful task. Cai looked behind him. Dinadain and Merriot were suited up for battle, and looked ready to go. "Dryst and Iria have left their kingdom for some reason. We'll have no better chance to attack him than now." Cai sighed, and walked over to his friends. "Ah, well. I suppose there will be other chances at the light title." Turning towards Meredy, he tipped his cap and smiled. "Let's go." Meredy: 21 |
