Etna's, overwhelming evil, mighty skill with the spear, and stunning figure have finally taken her where no demon of the Netherworld has gone before: the finals! Now all that stands in her way is one shaggy blue roadblock, and he's not going to be much of a challenge. First, unlike the suckers he beat to get here, Etna doesn't rely on fire magic for her damage. And while Gryz's normal attacks might be a bit stronger than hers, Etna can overcome that easily enough with her special attacks - a few doses of Asteroid, and he'll be just another smear on the Arena floor...and Etna will do what even the great Lamington couldn't, and bring a championship trophy back to the Overlord's Palace.

At long last, Gryz has found his way to the Light finals. His trusty strategy of "insert axe into opponent, repeat until screams stop" has proven to be one of the most effective in the division, and there's no reason to think it'll fail now. His foe for this bout will be none other than Etna, a cagey demon from the Netherworld. She's certainly not as strong as the typical demon, - or Gryz, for that matter. With his much more impressive strength and durability, not to mention the tried-and-true instant death of Crash, the Motavian won't have much to fear in this match. The only thing he really has to watch out for are Etna's counter-attacks. But it's hard to retaliate when you're already dead.

Well, this match was an example of trickery in action gone horribly wrong.
Etna, realizing that no amount of fair fighting would work against Gryz's superior fighting skills, challenged him to, of all things, a talent show. She was prepared to exercise various mind control techniques to talk the Motavian into it, and was somewhat surprised when Gryz just shrugged after she was finished explaining the concept, and walked off.
She thought it was him agreeing, anyhow.
So, as the match-up started, Etna revealed her hidden talent.
Namely, juggling Prinnies.
Never mind that they have wings, which made things somewhat easier. The point is, she was juggling twelve at once. The crowd was unbelievably stunned, and the judges were suitably impressed.
Gryz, however, had decided to one-up Etna. Pulling out some of his home-town's unrefined Laconium, he called for a forge, and proceeded to forge a perfect Laconium Dagger. Then he called for a large pumpkin, which he carved in exquisite detail.
Then, as the yawning, half asleep judges watched, he quickly lobbed the pumpkin into the air, pulled out his axe, and slammed it into the pumpkin.
The flat of the axe. The pumpkin sailed into a high arc.
And landed directly on Etna's head. Gryz simply bowed, as the massive explosion from the falling Prinnies shook the arena. And the massive applause from the crowd.
So, Gryz is one of the few people to both knock out his opponent in a special contest and win it. A fitting end to his run, this season.
Etna: 23
Gryz: 40
