Season 21, Week 1
Wakaba
(Suikoden II)

After a dilligent round of training brought on by her last DL performance - and painful loss, Wakaba has returned to test her mettle (and hopefully find her master somewhere). She brings to the table her fierce but unstable White Tiger Rune, capable of dealing serious damage at a risk of disabling her for a bit. Perhaps breaking Tellah's brittle old man hip will put them on even ground if that happens. No matter, since her opponent of the day is too weak to withstand more than one strike from the rune. The odds are finally in Wakaba's favor this week.

Tellah's spell selection speaks for itself. Meteo. Weak. The level 3 elemental spells. And yet this sage has a piddling 0-2 record. This only provides fodder for Tellah's never-ending hate, and makes him far more dangerous than the glasses and grandfatherly look suggest. Wakaba will not expect the burning pain of Fire 3, nor will she be able to do anything when the power of Charm turns her rune against her. Even if a single strike from Wakaba sends him to near death, Tellah will find something in his bag of tricks to win, no matter the cost.

Grefter
Right at the start of the match Tellah declared that he refused to hit a girl. This stunning event of an opponent actually recognising her gender stunned Wakaba so badly that she could not move and Tellah was going to be declared victor be default and well played trickery. Then he went to take a step towards the victory podium and promptly exploded. Wakaba was declared the victor. Later examinations showed that the ground connecting with his foot proved to much for the old man and ripped out all his hit points in one step. This is truely a victory for all fans of Newton and apples.

Wakaba: 42
Tellah: 36
