Season 27, Week 4
Kid
(Chrono Cross)

A quick mouth and a quicker dagger are all it takes to win in Light. A slice and a poke from Kid's self-taught, admittedly fighting style have slain far stronger foes than this doddering old woman. All the magical skills in the world can't protect one from a knife between the shoulderblades, and Kid's going to prove that by running circles around Hellion and teaching her a lesson about the power of useful spirit with the Red Pin technique. You don't mess with the Radical Dreamers, no matter what kind of silly tricks your rune has to offer!

The ugliest woman in the RPGDL has shown that, luckily, beauty isn't a requirement for success. With her terrifying Mother Earth Rune in hand, Hellion has laid waste to all who have opposed her this season. Now, Kid may be quicker and a bit more resilient, but she's got nothing on Hellion's wisdom. Kid's knife slashes fail to scare even Hellion's somewhat frail frame, and once Copper Flesh comes into play Kid will be unable to harm Hellion in any way. All it will take is an Earthquake or two to fell the little brat, bringing Hellion one step closer to her goal - an early retirement... er... season championship!

"That's funny, I'm sure I had it before I left the castle this morning..." mumbled Hellion.

"What's the matter? Lookin' for this?" crowed Kid, holding up a rune.

"My Mother Earth Rune!" gasped Hellion. "Give it back!"

"Oh, I'll give it back," smirked Kid. "I'll give it back right after this match! Earthquake!"

Nothing happened.

"Huh? It's not working?" exclaimed the surprised thief.

"What's the matter? Looking for this?" smiled Hellion as she cast Earthquake.

"But how...?" whispered Kid as she slipped into unconsciousness.

"Silly girl. Youngsters these days are so impatient! If you'd paid more attention you'd have realized the rune you stole was a fake. I drew it on this morning with magic marker." tsked Hellion as she left the ring.
