Season 35, Week 1
Nicolus
(Star Ocean: The Second Story)

One of God's Ten Wise Men in Light? A WISE MAN IN LIGHT!? What kind of mockery is this!? Do these lesser beings dare imply that Nicolus is on the same level as Evil Gaia!? Pah, no matter. He will simply have to crush all these insects - that should show whoever decides these things how big a mistake they've made. Tim may be an annoying gnat of a mage, possessing infinite full healing and what-not, but the fact that he's a mage in Light shows how pathetic he must be in the damage department. This plays straight into Nicolus' hands, as a fight as long as this means that he will be getting a lot of chances to turn the little boy into a statue with his beams, as inaccurate as they may be. Seriously...Light!?

You know you’ve got problems when Tim Rhymeless, of all people, feels sorry that you have to fight him. And not because he thinks he’ll get beaten up. Tim just doesn’t like to pick on anyone so much weaker then him. Well, nothing for it but to fight anyway, and hope he doesn’t cripple the poor guy. The strategy here is very simple. Just target one of the Wiseman’s many elemental weaknesses with some good spells, and maybe use a quick First Aid…if he ever needs to. Add in the fact that one thing Tim IS good at is resisting magic and status attacks, and that Nicolus is slower than even Tim, and you have a recipe for a pretty sad fight. Picking on the crippled isn’t nice, but Tim doesn't have much choice here.

"Tremble and despair, mere mortal, for you are in the presence of Nicolus, one of the Ten Wise Men! With these eyes, I see everything! With this mind, I know everything! With these powers, I destroy everything! Gape in awe before the overflowing energies inherent within the destined rulers of this universe, stare in wonder like the insignificant insects you are! Learn the folly of tossing one of the Ten Wise Men in Light like tras-" SPLORT

Tim yawned while he kept his staff raised. "Wise Man, Schwise Man, I have Filgaia's Godzilla at my beck and call, yo."

Grudiev roared in agreement then used the arena edge to scrape Nicolus' bloody remains off his foot.

Nicolus: 22
Tim Rhymeless: 47

Sometimes, a slap fight isn't enough.

You have to go to the next level.

"Why are they beating each other with pillows and squealing girlishly...?" Kanon said, staring, in a vaguely horrified manner, as the match.

"...I think the better question is why Nicolus just died from it." Marivel stated, her jaw hanging open.
